I'm brand new to Alaska and I think I'm going to miss California hospitality. The food was good but the service was painfully slow. It almost felt intentional and we wondered if it was due to us being a lesbian couple. We sat ourselves at a booth and waited. Several waiters passed us by but not one acknowledged us. We didn't even get a menu for over ten minutes and that was only because I finally asked for one. The waiter who took our order was not friendly whatsoever and the service continued to be very slow. We tipped well anyway because we are nice people, but will not return.

Amazing food and portions. We enjoyed our food and drinks on the outdoor patio in the heat of the sun.

I'm from Texas & here visiting as well as for work. Someone told me for mexican cuisine I should definitely go to Gallo's. The food was so scrumptious & had to have a margarita as National Margarita Day!! Definitely going to go back for more!!

I was there during opening night! Let me tell you something, the service is fast, speedy and sharp! Both the food and service was a great reflection on the staff. Especially the staff. Sharp and attentive. I give them props on handling that first stressful night. Would recommend this place to anybody from up in Eagle River from down in Kenai!
